Dr. Ximena Daza received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry. She received her Bachelor degree in Biology from Santa Clara University. Dr. Daza completed her optometric externship training in Albuquerque, NM and is certified in the therapeutic treatment of anterior ocular disease and in the co-management of glaucoma, cataract and refractive surgery. She is involved with V.O.S.H. (Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity) and Child Sight, both of which bring optometric services to the underprivileged. She has been practicing in the East Bay for over sixteen years and has extensive experience in all aspects of primary eye care. Dr. Daza and her husband, U.S. Army Major Frank Canizzaro, are long time Fremont residents and along with their three young sons, Frank, Andrew and Ethan, enjoy spending time with family and taking part in community activities. Dr. Daza is completely fluent in Spanish.
